Recently completed 8/16 a 450sf Ipe deck over slope. Glass railing / stainless steel railing & custom curved stair. Stair has LED riser lights. Deck also has LED lights recessed into the decking along the perimeter.
IPE 1 x 6 +Plus for decking and IPE 1 x 4 +Plus for handrails. Stainless steel cable railing and aluminum posts.
This is a planter box/bench seat in our backyard. I used 1x4 plus pre-grooved Ipe decking for the sides and 1x6 plus Ipe decking for the top cap. The wood has been finished with Advantage Lumber's Ipe Oil for protection as well as to give that rich burst of color that only Ipe can bring.

My father and I constructed this deck in 2015 using AdvantageLumber.com 1 x 6 plus tigerwood. I restained the deck in May 2016.
This summer we aded a privacy fence and deceasing Tigerwood from Advantage Lumber. The deck also uses Advantage Lumber cable railing. The fence is constructed of a custom made powder coated steel frame with insets of Tigerwood and Lexan panels. The fence also features a sliding barn style entry door and a removable section for landscaping equipment. We designed the project in consultation with Lara Kauffman (http://www.houzz.com/pro/laradesignco/lara-design-co).
Deck material was 4/4 Tigerwood with railing using 4x4 Tigerwood post and 4/4 Tigerwood rail cap and galvanized steel pipe All Tigerwood was supplied by AdvantageLumber.com and it made a beautiful deck.

The deck sits on beach front property approximately 8 miles from Manhattan. A classic city style dwelling with a grand Ipe staircase.
