Clarkesville, GA - This is my first project, a small side table. The wood was not identified when I bought it so I am unsure what species it is. It had natural cracks where I burned the inside edge and inlayed crushed amazonite stone. Then poured resin until evenly coated and attached the legs.
Orchard Park, NY - This is a slab of rosewood I think Honduras rosewood. I planed both surfaces using a router and a rail system. After sanding I applied numerous coats of clear epoxy resin to obtain the shinny glass-like coating. I made the simple legs from Ipe 1" x 1-1/2" and mitered the bottom corners. I love the grain and how dark the Ipe looks after putting on the Ipe oil. They went well with the slab.
